D.A..V College Hoshiarpur is situated on Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road. Affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, it is a grant-in-aid institution. The college was established by the trust ,whose aim was to promote and spread education in the rural heartland of Punjab in pre partition days. The institution was recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) in April 1956. Its offers a wide range of courses and programmes in Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) classes. It offers seven UG Programs in B.A., B.Com., B.Com. with E-commerce, B.Sc. (Non-medical), B.Sc. (Medical) ,B.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.C.A besides three PG Programs in M.A. (Political Science, Punjabi) and M.Sc in Information Technology. The college also offers vocational course in Computer Science and Applications at the UG level.The college function under the guidance of DAV College Managing Committe, Hoshiarpur.
